Principlev1
Default to asynchronous collaboration with deliberate
Default to asynchronous collaboration with deliberate synchronous checkpoints at kickoff, major handoffs, conflict resolution, and final review.
Why This Is a Principle
Derives from Directed Attention as Depletable Resource (focused attention is finite) and Task-switching generates attention residue that persists (task-switching creates residue). This prescribes WHEN to use each mode based on cognitive cost. Synchronous has high switching cost; async enables deep work. The principle tells you how to allocate.
