Principlev1
Design learning systems with separate single-loop feedback
Design learning systems with separate single-loop feedback (detecting and correcting errors within existing frameworks) and double-loop feedback (questioning the framework itself when single-loop corrections fail repeatedly).
Why This Is a Principle
Derives from Single-loop learning adjusts actions within existing (double-loop learning questions the framework), Double-loop learning requires questioning the framework (double-loop learning requires questioning framework), and Raw experience, without reflection, does not produce (experience without reflection doesn't produce learning). Argyris's distinction becomes a design principle — build systems with two levels of learning.
