Principlev1
Distinguish between resistance that carries legitimate
Distinguish between resistance that carries legitimate technical, expertise, or values concerns (which should inform the change design) and resistance that preserves dysfunction (which should be overcome).
Why This Is a Principle
Derives from Expertise as Domain-Specific Schema Organization (domain-specific expertise), Tacit Knowledge Exceeds Linguistic Expression (tacit knowledge), and Knowledge of cognitive biases does not reduce susceptibility (bias blind spot—change leaders may miss problems resistors see). Prescribes differential treatment of resistance types rather than blanket override.
