Definitionv1DF-664
Narrative identity
the internalized and evolving life story that each person constructs to make sense of their experience, which encodes values through specific narrative patterns and themes
Why This Is a Definition
This definition establishes the precise semantic boundary of 'narrative identity' by identifying its genus (internalized life story) and differentia (evolving construction that encodes values through specific patterns). It distinguishes this from other related concepts by specifying the functional role it plays in value discovery and how it reveals underlying values.
