Principlev1
Separate the public performance of receiving criticism
Separate the public performance of receiving criticism (which requires real-time regulation and strategic response) from the private processing of its emotional residue (which requires giving yourself permission to feel the full impact), and ensure both happen.
Why This Is a Principle
Derives from Emotional suppression increases physiological stress and (suppression increases stress) and Human memory under stress and cognitive load is unreliable (memory under stress is unreliable). The principle prescribes temporal separation: regulate for the interaction, process fully afterward. This avoids both immediate collapse and delayed emotional accumulation.
