Principlev1
Transition from drive positions (demanded outcomes) to drive
Transition from drive positions (demanded outcomes) to drive interests (underlying needs) to reveal reconcilable solutions hidden by incompatible demands.
Why This Is a Principle
Grounds in The three basic psychological needs are autonomy, (three basic needs), Values exist in a hierarchical structure with terminal (hierarchical values), and Goals as Perceptual Filters (goals define relevance). The principle prescribes Fisher & Ury's interest-based negotiation internally: 'quit your job' (position) vs. 'meaningful work' (interest). Interests can coexist when positions cannot.
