Why This Is a Principle
Derives from Humans retain the capacity to choose their attitude toward (capacity to choose attitude toward circumstances) and Suffering that is interpreted as meaningful has different (meaningful suffering has different consequences than meaningless suffering). This principle prescribes a shift from problem-solving to meaning-making when suffering is unavoidable.
