Principlev1
Work backward from disproportionate behavior to identify
Work backward from disproportionate behavior to identify unfelt emotions, as behavioral anomalies often indicate emotions processed somatically but not yet consciously.
Why This Is a Principle
Derives from Emotions manifest as physiological changes in the body (somatic markers occur before conscious experience), Behavior is a function of both the person and their (behavior is function of person and environment), and Emotions prepare the body for specific physical actions (emotions prepare body for action). When behavior seems incongruent with conscious state, the body is often responding to emotions that haven't reached awareness yet.
